Mission Statement  

The mission of J. D. Dickerson Primary School is to educate the whole child by providing multiple opportunities to meet individual needs of all students while nurturing the development of the young child.  In a cooperative learning environment, students will try to meet or exceed standards necessary to build a firm academic foundation.  Our students will grow and learn in an atmosphere where colleagues, parents, and the community work collaboratively to achieve this shared educational purpose in a positive manner.

About J. D. Dickerson Primary School

The faculty and staff of J. D. Dickerson Primary School believe that early childhood is the time to build a firm foundation of the basic skills while developing a love for reading, mathematics, and learning while allowing children to develop socially.  We strongly encourage parents to participate in their students' learning.  Our desire is to provide a high quality education for all students. 

Our school includes Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade.  We have approximately 560 students and 79 faculty and staff members.  All of our faculty and staff meet the No Child Left Behind requirements to be Highly Qualified.
