I attended East Georgia College in Swainsboro, GA and received an Associates Degree in Psychology. I then attended Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, grades K - 8. I am currently working on a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction/Literacy Studies through the University of Texas at Arlington.


I have  two years experience working for the Preschool Intervention Program in Toombs County as a paraprofessional. I have two years experience as a paraprofessional in second grade. I served eight years as the Pre-K Resource Coordinator for the Montgomery County Pre-K Program.  I also completed my student teaching in a second grade classroom at Montgomery Elementary School.  I  taught Pre-K for three years at J.D. Dickerson Primary School. This is my second year as a 1st grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher.


I am from Alston where I live with my husband, Norman, and my son Brandon.  I  have two daughters and two great sons-in-law,  Heather and Chester Proctor and Hannah and Devyn Naude'. I  have two wonderful grandsons named Andrew and Ashtynn, and two granddaughters, Ava Grace and Kammi.  I enjoy my family, home, and my pets which include two dogs, several cats, and a horse. I teach an adult Sunday School class and my husband and I are musicians at our church.
